Fashions Come Back Kids

Call me old fashioned, pun intended, but I love vintage inspired looks. There is always a reason that a piece or style is a classic. It is simply too good to discard in favor of something new. And wearing a vintage necklace or dress just makes you feel classy and sophisticated. Any classic style is like an old friend. You can always depend on it. Every great style has its moment in the sun, but the really great styles have probably started to become blinded from their time in the spotlight. Fashion is, basically, a never ending loop. Sometimes new ideas are added to the circle, or somethings are revised. But styles are constantly coming back. The ever popular skater skirt, the cute hair bows that Bethany Mota and other fashion bloggers brought back. We love them, but this is not their first time around. Skater skirts were popular in the eighties, and hair bows go back to the Victorian age. They deserve to make an appearance at todays fashion scene, and each time we see a style come back, it gets a fashion facelift. A Victorian hair bow, with an Aztec pattern. Oxfords, for girls. Old military style boots, with bright colors and patterns. I love styles and pieces that have been given new life. Recreating old styles is a way to have just a shred of history, while still being the ever fabulous you. XO,Bella
